Holmlands clients Millie Knight, Brett Wild and Chris Lloyd have today been selected to represent Great Britain at the Winter Paralympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

Visually impaired skier Millie Knight, who was the youngest member of the ParalympicsGB squad in Sochi 2014 says, “I’m so happy to be selected to compete at my second Winter Paralympic Games for Great Britain. Four years ago in Sochi was a really fantastic experience and I learned a lot, but competing in Pyeongchang has always been my main goal.

“Since Sochi I’ve been working really hard and have built a really strong partnership with my guide, Brett Wild. We know the competition will be tough in South Korea, but we’re excited for the games and look forward to the challenge ahead.”

Brett Wild, Millie's guide says, "Since I started skiing with Millie, Pyeongchang has been our aim. To be selected to represent the country at the Winter Paralympics is a tremendous honour."

Chris Lloyd, who was left paralysed from the neck down following a car accident in 2011, says, "I am delighted to announce my selection for ParalympicsGB ahead of the Winter Paralympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea in March.

"Being selected to represent Great Britain at the Paralympic Games is nothing short of a dream come true. I’m excited to be able to ski for my country in the sport I love on the Paralympic stage. It’s an honour I’ve worked extremely hard for over the past six years .

"There’s a lot more hard work to come over the next few months and I can’t wait to get out on the slopes in South Korea. Having been selected, my main aim now is to do my family proud."

Founder and Director of Holmlands, Cameron Hall says, "Working with Millie, Brett and Chris is a real privilege. We know how hard they work on and off the slopes and today's announcement reflects their determination and talent. We'll be there to support them every step on the way."

The Winter Paralympics are being held between Thursday 8th March and Sunday 18th March 2018 and will be covered by Channel 4.
