On Monday 13th February Holmlands hosted our first resort based screening, proudly presenting the Swiss Premier of MSP Films award winning "Ruin and Rose" at the prestigious W Hotel in Verbier - officially voted the best ski hotel in the world in 2016 (World Ski Awards).
We were delighted to team up with Mountain Air Verbier, and were joined by a completely sold out crowd.
Guests gathered for drinks and laid back beats in the company of the W Hotel's in house DJ, playing in the Living Room Bar before we moved down to Studio 3 for the screening of movie.
As recent winner of the “Best Cinematography” award at the 17th annual Powder Awards, Ruin and Rose is described as blending “high tech and human spirit for a truly unique ski film.”
As the film captivated the crowd, we paused the presentation half way through to give away some truly incredible prizes. With a very special thank you to Scott Sports, our prize draw roster included two pairs of powder skis, two helmets, three pairs of poles, an Alpride backpack, hoodies, t-shirts and more. The team at Surefoot Verbier also kindly donated a pair of custom fit liners and insoles to complete an incredible prize draw giveaway.
A wall squat challenge was held to determine the winners of the Scott powder skis in a hard fought battle between five contenders with, Niko de Rohan and Gaëtan Montavon claiming victory.
Following the screening, a special after party was held at Pub Mont Fort with extended athlete edits from the movie shown on screens around the bar as the DJ played us through to the small hours.
With special thanks to:
