Iceland film project in production

This month we are delighted to be returning to one of our favourite countries and expanding our film series – creating a documentary project centred around the day to day lives of the people who live and work in some of the lesser explored regions of Iceland.

'Seeking Asgard' will tell the behind the scenes stories of local people living and working in remote and harsh environments, who all share in a connected love for nature, the environment and their home country.

The film will centre on skiing as a vehicle for storytelling, featuring Icelandic skiers based in Kerlingarfjöll, Ísafjörður, Seyðisfjörður, Akureyri and Reykjavík – showcasing the rich and historic ski culture in Iceland from a human interest perspective; amidst the background of the stunning Icelandic landscape and natural environment.

We will be shooting the film project throughout April 2022, working with local partners including CampEasy, as our production team take to the road on a three week location shoot covering the four corners of Iceland.

Are you a passionate skier based in Iceland? Do you have an interesting story to tell? If you would like to be part of the project, feel free to e-mail us here with a short description as to why you feel your story should be included in the film.

We also have a number of sponsorship packages available for brands who would like to support the project. For more information contact us here.

'Seeking Asgard' is set for release in autumn/winter 2022. Stay tuned to the Holmlands channels for updates.
