Four Seasons Film Festival concludes

Last night saw the conclusion of Four Seasons Film Festival 2018, our inaugural film festival, held at Cadogan Hall in Sloane Square, London.

The festival celebrated the best in independent film making, music, art and photography, as we screened nine feature films and over 60 short films - welcoming film makers from around the world, with no shortage of action packed adventure films and documentaries.

Amongst the exhibitors included photography from visually impaired skier Millie Knight, who presented her collection "The Camera Doesn't Know, I can't see."

Live Q&A's saw us joined on stage by Sheikh Mohammed Al Thani and his Raed Zidan - the first Qatari to and the first Palestinian men to climb Mt. Everest respectively. They had summited 6 of the 7 summits together, and in their film "The Seventhn Summit" faced the challenge of summiting Mt. Denali in Alaska, as their seventh and final summit. Needless to say, the audience was left captivated and inspired.

Charlotte Percle, Director of "Rookies" was another Director who joined us over the festival weekend. Her debut film explores the stress and simultaneous euphoria the athletes experience during their premier season on the Freeride World Tour.

The two day festival, was drawn to a close with a special awards ceremony, that welcomed film makers from as far as Dubai, Lebanon, Sweden, Switzerland, Tasmanian, United States of America and beyond - as Holmlands presented eight awards including "Best of Festival", "Best Director" and the "Audience Favourite Award."

Live music was performed by Kitty Montague, before a powerful speech by screenwriter and festival judge, Mark Heywood. Our Founder and Director, Cameron Hall, then announced the award winners - who received their trophies from esteemed actress and festival judge, Clare Ashitey.

With special thanks to our panel of judges, awards designer Guy Portelli, photographer Jason Dodd and of course all the film makers who submitted to Four Seasons Film Festival 2018.
