Following their success at the Winter Paralympic Games in South Korea, Holmlands clients Millie Knight and Brett Wild were nominated for the Sporting Teamwork Award at the NRS Scottish Sporting Awards in Edinburgh on Friday Evening.

In a night of sporting celebration, held at the prestigious Prestonfield House Hotel, Millie and Brett took home the award rounding off a superb month of sporting success; having secured three medals at the Paralympics in PyeongChang earlier in March.

Wild, a submariner in the Royal Navy from Glasgow, was greeted on stage by Captain Chris Smith, Naval Regional Commander; where Millie was welcomed by CEO of Disability Snowsport UK, Fiona Young as the pair jointly presented the award to the inspirational partnership.

Millie told The Sunday Post, "It's crazy, we've literally just come back from South Korea where we had a fantastic games and to come up here (Edinburgh) and win this is special."

Brett continued, "I can't really believe it to be honest, we feel so honoured and privileged to even be nominated. To come and win is absolutely fantastic. Even the medals (from the Paralympics) haven't really sunk in yet. We've been back, rushing around doing media and we've not really had time to take it all in."

The glitzy ceremony also saw rugby hero Alastair Kellock, round-the-world cyclist Mark Beaumont, golfer Stephen Gallacher, Scotland women’s football goalkeeper Gemma Fay and broadcasting legend Archie Macpherson walk away with awards.
