Holmlands Adventure Film Festival now open for submissions

We’re thrilled to announce that submissions are now open for the Holmlands Adventure Film Festival — an online awards-only celebration of storytelling inspired by adventure, exploration, wildlife, and the natural world.

Following on from our previous adventure-focused screening events across the UK, Europe, and North America, the festival builds on our passion for storytelling inspired by adventure — creating a dedicated platform to recognise filmmakers and adventurers from around the world whose work captures the spirit of the outdoors.

With ten award categories including Best of Festival, Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, and the Spirit of Adventure Award, the festival honours creativity, authenticity, and originality in adventurous filmmaking.

Whether you’re documenting a mountain expedition, an environmental cause, or a powerful human story connected to outdoor life, we welcome films that inspire others to seek adventure in their own lives.

Submissions are open now via FilmFreeway, with deadlines running through to September 30th, 2026, and winners announced on October 30th, 2026.
