Sheffield to South Korea

The latest episode in our "Holmlands Stories" series features British freestyle skier Peter Speight.

Pete started his journey into freestyle skiing on dry ski slopes at the Sheffield Ski Village in South Yorkshire.

The now redundant facility provided him with a platform to develop his skills, and gave him the opportunity to become part of a community - and ultimately create a pathway to represent his country on the world's biggest stage - the Winter Olympic Games in South Korea.

We visited Pete at his family home in Sheffield at the end of last summer, as he retraced the footsteps of his old stomping ground and caught up with old friends - reflecting on a momentous year.

Screened ahead of the UK Premiere of "Finding the Line" at Four Seasons Film Festival 2019, Pete attended the event for a special post screening Q&A to a sold out crowd at the Charlotte Street Hotel in central London.
