Thank you Revelstoke
A sincere thank you to the people of Revelstoke for welcoming us into your community with such open arms over the past two months.
The support we received for our latest film project "The Revelstoke Diaries" has been quite overwhelming, marked by a sold out World Premiere screening of our short documentary on Friday 24th January; with almost 300 people turning out in our biggest event to date.
Held at the Revelstoke Performing Arts Centre, guests were welcomed by live music from local signer song writer Maggie "May" Davis who wowed the packed out auditorium with her beautiful folk music.
Protect Our Winters Canada ambassador and pro skier Izzy Lynch then held a live Q&A on stage about the work of the local POW Canada chapter in the Revelstoke Community. ]
As is tradition for our events, we also had a host of amazing prizes to giveaway, kindly donated by local suppliers.
The event caught the attention of the local media too, with stories about our short film featuring with the Revelstoke Review, Revelstoke Mountaineer and 106.1 FM EZ Rock Revelstoke.
Following the screening the film received a fantastic round of applause from the capacity crowd, as our Founder and Director Cameron Hall, then stepped on to the stage to take questions from the audience.
The production of "The Revelstoke Diaries" was fast tracked in order to host this very special event - so we could share the film with the people of Revelstoke first.
The film itself won't be released until the start of next winter - where we now plan to hold a number of screenings in the UK. Stay tuned to our channels for updates.
