Enhanced: New documentary project in pre-production

We’re excited to share that we’ve officially entered pre-production on a new feature documentary project titled ENHANCED.

A Story About Adaptation, Identity and Possibility

ENHANCED follows the journey of a young woman whose life changed dramatically in her early teens — and who has since rebuilt her confidence, ambition and identity through sport, creativity and adventure.

Rather than framing her story around limitation, the film explores a different perspective: one of adaptation, resilience and growth. It’s a story about learning to move through the world in new ways — physically, emotionally and mentally — and about discovering that strength doesn’t always look the way we expect it to.

The film will unfold over a 12-month period, capturing moments of everyday life alongside training, preparation and meaningful challenges in outdoor environments.

Why This Film Matters

At its heart, ENHANCED is not a film about disability. It’s a film about self-belief, confidence, and redefining what’s possible.

The story speaks to themes that feel increasingly important today:

• Representation and inclusion in sport and adventure

• Body confidence and identity

• Youth empowerment

Production Approach

The project will be filmed across the UK and Europe, with international elements forming part of the later stages of the story. As with all Holmlands projects, the focus will be on authentic storytelling, strong visual language, and a respectful, collaborative approach with everyone involved.

We are currently in pre-production, developing the story, planning logistics, and beginning to align with partners who share the values at the heart of the film.
