Holmlands birthday celebration

A white and blue cake on a table

This week marked our official 1st birthday, celebrated with a special screening of our first short film "Holmlands Stories: Ski The World" at BFI Film Forever in London.

Together with our production partners, Green Owl Films, we were joined by friends, family, clients and partners from across the adventure sports industry as we premiered a film that tells the incredible and heartbreaking story of journalist Arnie Wilson and his girlfriend Lucy Dicker - who made it into the Guinness Book of World Records, skiing every day for a year in 1994, before tragedy struck.

Making the film has been a labour of love and we feel privileged that Arnie allowed us to share his story, and plan for this short film to be the first in a series of inspiring human interest stories, as we continue to combine our passion for storytelling with film and production.

Watch the short film and check out some pics from the screening here.

The screening also provided a great opportunity to reflect over the past 12 months as we showcased some of our production work and upcoming events. It's certainly been an incredible journey so far ...

In 2017, we have expanded our events into Europe - holding our first European film premiere at the world's best ski hotel in Verbier Switzerland; given talks in the mountains on PR and social media strategy, in Morzine in the French Alps; launched a national film tour for the most decorated ski film production company in history, MSP Films; curated our very own film festival for London, receiving hundreds of submissions from 40 different countries around the world; and worked with some truly inspirational entrepreneurs and athletes - who all share in our mindset of combing who they are with what they do.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been part of the Holmlands journey so far. Stay tuned, this is just the beginning...
