British Parasnowsport Skier Chris Lloyd has appointed Holmlands as his media consultancy as he sets his sights on securing a place with ParalympicsGB for the upcoming winter Paralympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, 2018.

Chris has been on a remarkable journey, having been left paralysed from the neck down following a rally car accident in 2011.

Lying in the hospital bed, he was told he would never be able to ski again. Determined to prove the medical consultant wrong, he set himself the goal of one day representing his country at the Paralympic games.

As part of a difficult recovery period, Chris began to reinvent himself, through meditation, self hypnosis and positive visualisation techniques.

12 months after the accident he skied for the first time following the crash, and a few months later entered his first competitive ski race. Despite only having 40% power in his right leg and 50 % power in his left, Chris fought his way back to compete at the World Championships in February 2015.

Chris says, "It's been a long and difficult journey but I'm excited at the opportunities that lie ahead. Ever since seeing a poster for the Paralympics when I was in hospital, the games has been the goal that has driven me forward."

Holmlands will be running a fully integrated campaign for Chris including website creation, logo design, video production, photography, social media management, PR and media representation.

Founder and Director of Holmlands, Cameron Hall says, "having the opportunity to work with someone like Chris and help him share his inspirational story with the world is the reason we exist. Chris is very humble and a real life hero. We are honoured to provide media solution services to help him in this next stage of his journey."
