Our inspirational Winter Paralympians recently attend a special event at Buckingham Palace as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards programme.

Millie Knight, Brett Wild and Chris Lloyd did the country proud at the Winter Paralympics in South Korea earlier this year and were invited to present Gold awards to 100 young people who had achieved the highest honour in the annual Duke of Edinburgh Awards Programme.

The ceremony was also attended by Prince Edward and well know personalities from the world of sport, politics and TV.

Our sporting heroes gave a short congratulatory speech, also sharing some of her own experiences, and answering questions from young people who had accomplished their gold awards through a series of volunteering initiatives, physical challenges, outdoor expeditions and more.

It's been a busy summer since returning from the games with numerous media appearances, school visits, inspirational talks, events and conferences - as Millie, Brett and Chris continue to raise awareness of disability and showcase the power of sport in helping to overcome physical barriers.
