As part of our PR delivery for Disability Snowsport UK, one of our primary objectives was to secure a feature story for the charity on Ski Sunday, highlighting and personalizing their remarkable work.
After months of behind-the-scenes efforts, we're thrilled to announce that this weekend, you can watch BBC 2 at 4:30 pm to hear the story of DSUK member Ellie Henry.
Ellie, 24, began learning to sit ski with the charity less than a year ago at Chill Factore in Manchester. Just last month, she joined the organization on one of their group holidays for her first ski trip to the mountains.
In a conversation with presenter Jenny Jones, Ellie discusses the positive impact adaptive skiing has had on her life after her dream of becoming a gymnast was put on hold due to a diagnosis of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, which led her to become an ambulatory wheelchair user.
Jenny meets Ellie and her dad, Paul, for a chat in Manchester before reconnecting on the slopes of Pal Arinsal in Andorra.
Watch live, set to record, or catch up on BBC iPlayer and check out some behind the scenes photos from the shoot below.
